It is possible to get a home visit if you are housebound, extremely ill or on our palliative care register. We do not do home visits for children.
If you require a home visit:
1. Telephone the surgery first thing in the morning, between 9am and 10.30am. The receptionist will ask for the patient's name and a contact number.
2. The Doctors will prioritise the calls. The doctor may feel that advice given over the phone will be most appropriate.
3. A Doctor may well ring you between 12pm-3pm after morning surgery to discuss the house visit. This is the soonest Doctors will be available.
If a visit is not urgent then it may be postponed till the next day.
Please do not abuse this service as it is time consuming. The doctors can see more patients if they are in the surgery, and not out visiting patients who may not really require a visit.
